Why is NotebookLM not loading?

If NotebookLM is not loading, work through these fixes in order:

  1. Hard refresh — Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) or Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) clears cached resources that may be stale
  2. Try incognito mode — rules out browser extensions interfering with the page
  3. Check your Google account — if you are signed into multiple Google accounts, navigate to notebooklm.google.com while signed into only the correct account
  4. Clear cookies and cache — for persistent loading failures, clearing site data for google.com resolves most cases
  5. Switch browsers — NotebookLM is optimized for Chrome; try Chrome if you are on Safari, Firefox, or Edge
  6. Check Google status — visit workspace.google.com/status to see if there is an active outage

If none of these work, sign out of all Google accounts and sign back in.
