Can I use NotebookLM with Google Sheets?

You can add a Google Sheets link directly as a source in NotebookLM. It imports the cell content as plain text and lets you ask natural language questions about the data: "What are the highest values in this table?" or "Summarize the trends you see in this dataset."

Limitations to know: - NotebookLM cannot execute formulas, sort, filter, or calculate — it reads values, not logic - Sheets with many tabs or heavy formatting may import incompletely - Exporting as CSV and uploading it as a text source often gives a cleaner result than linking directly

For qualitative patterns — identifying themes in survey responses or summarizing a data table — NotebookLM works well. For actual data analysis, use Google Sheets itself or a dedicated tool alongside NotebookLM.
