How is Kaptex different from NotebookLM Web Importer?

NotebookLM Web Importer is the most widely installed NotebookLM extension and handles URL and YouTube capture cleanly. If that's all you need, it works. Kaptex is built for researchers who go further — especially those who use Claude, ChatGPT, and Perplexity as part of their workflow.

When Web Importer might suit you better: You mainly save URLs and YouTube links, and you specifically need YouTube playlist import or RSS feed sync — features Kaptex doesn't currently offer.
